We build with clarity, act with integrity, and always stay curious.

The idea for Performance Labs was born on a ski slope in Vermont.

Two friends — both athletes, both deeply rooted in the North Shore sports community — were talking about what was missing for athletes in the area. Not another big-box gym. Not a single-sport club. Something different: a place where serious training across multiple sports could happen under one roof, with professional-grade equipment, real-time data, and year-round access regardless of weather or season.

That conversation became Performance Labs.

How it started

what we believe

We are athletes, coaches, parents, and community members. We know what it feels like to want to get better and not have the right place to do it. That's what drove us to build Performance Labs, and it's what drives everything we do here.

YEAR-ROUND ACCESS. No weather excuses. Every facility is available every season.

PROFESSIONAL-GRADE TECHNOLOGY. Trackman. SkyTech. The same systems the pros use — available to you.

MULTI-SPORT. Golf, skiing, baseball, softball, turf sports, strength and conditioning. One roof. One community.

EVERY LEVEL WELCOME. Youth athletes, weekend warriors, serious competitors. If you want to improve, there's a place for you here.

Matthew Pimentel

Matt ran at Clemson University and spent five years as Head Coach of Track & Field at Merrimack College before building a career in commercial construction as Principal and VP of Pimentel Construction. A skier and mountain biker, he's the reason Performance Labs looks and functions the way it does. He lives in Andover and remains active in the local community through his work at Austin Preparatory School.

Kevin J. Sullivan

Kevin is a Boston College graduate and Georgetown Law alumnus who has spent over 25 years advising private equity firms and private companies on capital formation, mergers, acquisitions, and business strategy — with a track record spanning hundreds of transactions for some of the world's leading investors. He now brings that experience to Reed Smith's Boston office and to Performance Labs, where his background in building and scaling businesses shapes everything from the facility's financial structure to its long-term growth. Outside the office he's a lifelong endurance athlete — an ultra runner, skier, and surfer who has called the North Shore home for over 20 years.
